Hello,

EMAIL NOTIFICATION

Programmes like AOL do not seem to like proboards mail, so it is best to register with a yahoo, hotmail, gmail or another reliable email address that does not have over zealous spam controls. :) Or you might not even be able to register! :o

CONDUCT

No need to be afraid - I just wish to outline a few things...

We're here to have a good time and talk about what we love: the music. Anyone disrupting this will be dealt with. I am not a huge fan of over censorship, so I have adjusted the censorships controls to how I see fit, however, this does not mean people can abuse each other. Any rascist or homophobic behaviour will be severely frowned upon and if a member was to ignore their warning they would be banned. Posting any links to sites of profanity (I think that's the word!) is obviously out of the question too.

So be good to each other, and enjoy the music! ;)

If there is anything you're unsure about, feel free to post your concerns here.

Enjoy the forum!

The Guitarist Cult FAQ

What is Guitarist Cult?
A discussion forum for guitar music.

Where did it originate?
From the infrequent ramblings of a very bored administrator.

Why should I become a member?
So that you can vent your spleen about the music you are passionate about.

How can I contribute?
You can post in discussions, post reviews, band news and gig dates you want to share, share music playing experiences and trade tips, advertise for band members, and write articles about your favourite artist/bands.

What is involved in an article?
Interesting information that explains why the artist/band are worthy of the title of Master. There is a guidance thread in The Masters but don't let that intimidate you. That's just there as a guide for the curious. As long as it is substantially a lot more than a one line fly away remark you might as well post it, if it informs and entertains.

How can I spread the word and support the site?
Check in regularly and post where you feel appropriate to your interests. If you want to display a link banner on your homepage, website, or internet signatures on other sites, there is a banner thread here.

How can I become a moderator?
Be a regular supporter and be kind to other members. Showing some specialised knowledge could help too. At the moment no new ones are needed though.

What is The Pit?
The Pit is our video club. The staff team put forward videos to go in, and you can "pay" to see what's in there with the beer tokens (B) that you clock up with each post you make. Additional (B) can be earned by answering questions in some of the bi-monthly quizzes.
